Imagine That!

Good Morning Everyone,

In my writings, I love to write inspirational things.
Things to uplift and encourage. But I want them
to be very practical too. I do not want anyone
to think ... oh yeah, that's good for you, but you
don't know what I am going through.
It won't work for me.

You see, from that very statement they are giving up.
It is hopeless, I am doomed, the world is over.

Why do people torture themselves like that? Why give up?

I was talking with my grandson Shaun today,
who is a very bright and precocious thinker.
An analyzer by nature. He talked to me about
my husband John who has had 6 heart attacks
and how fortunate he is to be alive. This is
not a subject we have discussed before. I told
him that the first three heart attacks were
actually cardiac arrests. 3 within an hour. Each
time they had to use the paddles on his chest to
try to get his heart started. The last time, they
felt he was gone, and they brought a counselor out
to me to help me cope.

My family was there, we were not about to give up.
We started praying fervently over him, and the
minute we stopped, the doctors ran out, and said
I cannot believe it... He is back.

You see, what we didn't know at the time is 95 percent
of the people who have the first cardiac arrest die.
Here, my precious husband had 3 and lived!

That is a testimony to the power of prayer and
God's great intervention and love.

Shaun loved hearing this, and at his
age, it is a real encouragement to him, and his faith.

I told him how the last heart attack his grandpa had
it messed up the electrical current so bad in his heart
he had no regular heart beat. Shaun was very curious
about that. He said is it still that way? I said no Shaun,
your grandpa never gives up. Each day he got up
and walked, each day a bit further, and within 6 months,
even with all his heart damage his heart was regular again.

Doctors are astounded about him, they even discuss
him in seminars with our health care provider. My friends
this is a testimony to looking further than your circumstances
and never giving up. It is that you look for creative
ways to better your circumstances, your thinking,
your lifestyle, even your finances. God is able to
give you a way out. But you have to be proactive.

My friends, set goals. Short term and long term.
And don't give up. Keep seeking to better yourself,
and take a practical strong viewpoint of life. You can do it!

It is all in your perspective my friend, if you think your
life is over, that nothing ever goes right, you are setting
yourself up mentally to fail. If you think each day
has possibilities and you can make the best of your
circumstances you will!

It is a choice. I don't care what your circumstances.
I can absolutely vouch for this in my own life. We
have many obstacles to face daily. But God always
provides. The days we run out of money, somehow
it always works out. The days we have health problems
God always gives us hope and comfort, and ways
to improve ourselves.

I love you dear friends. Don't live beneath your
destiny. You only have this one life, make it count
for something everyday.

Love,
millie

Ps.. sometimes when I send out letters like this people
get very upset with me, because they have prayed
for loved ones who were suffering and they were
never healed. They feel that I am saying they don't have
enough faith. I would never say such a thing. God is
sovereign. Sometimes he chooses to heal, sometimes
he does not. IN my husbands case, there was a reason.
So he could make his heart right with God, and correct
some things he had done in life that had been very
destructive to me. God utterly changed his heart.

So, receive this article for what it is. A desire to
get you to pray fervently, seek to rise higher in your
thinking and to dwell in faith, and God's word.
That whatever comes, you are prepared, vigilant
and strong in the Lord, and do not set yourself
up for failure.

IMAGINE THAT!

Three-year-old Jonathon is gifted and precocious.

When his parents took him to a restaurant, he ordered a grilled cheese sandwich.

"Jonathon, I'm sorry, we don't serve grilled cheese sandwiches," the server replied.

He asked, "You have a grill, don't you?"
She answered, "Yes."

He continued, "You have cheese, don't you?"
"Yes, we do."

"You have bread, don't you?"
"Yes."

"Well," he said, "I'll have a grilled cheese sandwich."
Three years old.

The server returned after checking with the chef and told the boy they would fix him the sandwich. "But I forgot to ask you what you want to drink," she said.

"I'll have a milkshake, please."

"I'm sorry, Jonathon, but we don't serve milkshakes," she answered. But this time she was ready. "Now, it is true we have milk. And it is true we have ice cream. But we don't have syrup," she explained.

He said, "You have a car, don't you?"

Whatever other intellectual gifts Jonathon exhibits, the trait that may serve him best is imagination.

We're told that Albert Einstein said: "Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions." He also said, "Imagination is more important than knowledge." And Napoleon is purported to have said, "Imagination rules the world."

I have come to realize that I am limited only by my imagination. When I believe nothing can be done, I search for a way out when I could do better searching for solutions. When I perceive my situation as impossible, I resign myself to that fate when I might be drawing upon greater resources of faith and courage. I far too often settle for less when I could be asking myself that transforming question, "What if...?"
The truth is if it can be imagined, it can come to be. The solution to your problem, the way through your dilemma or the answer to your yearning must first be conceived in your mind before it can be birthed in life. Conceive it and believe it, then you will achieve it.

It can happen for individuals and it can happen for our world. Vividly conceive it in your imagination and fervently believe it in your heart. Then you will achieve it in life.

Enjoy What You Have

Good Morning Dear Friends,

I am not going to write a very long note to you today,
the two articles below are so thought provoking,
they stand on their own, without much commentary from me.

Too many people spend too much time,
looking at what they don't have,
thinking about themselves and their problems,
and not noticing what they do have.
They do not focus enough on our purpose in
God. Reaching others for Christ.

Being a disciple of Christ, by our words and deeds.

We have a higher calling than spending our
time feeling sorry for ourselves. We have a purpose
in Christ, no matter what is going on in our lives.
The best way to get past self reflection, feeling sorry
and depression, is to go out and do something
for someone less fortunate than yourself.

Someone may need your touch today, or
your prayers, or a word of encouragement.

If we as Christians don't pray for them,
and don't reach out to them,
and don't notice them, who will?

Love

When I Whine

Today, upon a bus, I saw a girl with golden hair
I looked at her and sighed and wished I was as fair.
When suddenly she rose to leave,
I saw her hobble down the aisle.
She had one leg and used a crutch
But as she passed, she passed a smile.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine
I have 2 legs, the world is mine.

I stopped to buy some candy
The lad who sold it had such charm
I talked with him a while, he seemed so very glad
If I were late, it'd do no harm.
And as I left, he said to me,
"I thank you, you've been so kind.
It's nice to talk with folks like you.
You see," he said, "I'm blind"
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have 2 eyes, the world is mine.

Later while walking down the street,
I saw a child with eyes of blue
He stood and watched the others play
He did not know what to do.
I stopped a moment and then I said,
"Why don't you join the others, dear?"
He looked ahead without a word.
And then I knew, he couldn't hear.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have 2 ears, the world is mine.

With feet to take me where I'd go.
With eyes to see the sunset's glow.
With ears to hear what I would know.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I've been blessed indeed, The world is mine.

Life Is a Gift

Today before you say an unkind word -
Think of someone who can't speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food - Think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife - Think of someone who's crying out to GOD for a companion.

Today before you complain about life -
Think of someone who went too early to heaven.

Before you complain about your children -
Think of someone who desires children but they're barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house someone didn't clean or sweep -
Think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive
Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job -
Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.

But before you think of pointing the
finger or condemning another -
Remember that not one of us is without sin and we all answer to one MAKER.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down -
Put a smile on your face and thank GOD you're alive and still around

My own thought: Forgive easily, even if people do not ask,
love others, none of us are guaranteed tomorrow,
you will be remembered, not for the money you earn,
or the things you own, but how you treat others.
Life is your gift, make it count, be a light.

Let your light so shine before men that they see your
good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

A Time To Prepare

Good Morning Dear Friends,

I am concerned in the coming days
ahead for each of you.

Our world is rapidly changing. It is becoming a
dangerous place in every country. The security we
used to feel has changed, we now feel less secure.

What do we do about that? How can we prepare
our hearts? As I was talking to my husband tonight,
we were talking how in his country, Greece, over
259 fires are raging, and many are dying. Many
poor people losing all they have with no hope of
replacing it. It is very tragic.

We were talking about this country and the threats
against it, and how things could change. Especially
if those in charge of the country spend more time
fighting with each other than looking out for us.

If a national tragedy happens, you have to be able
to look out for yourself for a time. My husband says
the biggest mistake people make is panic when
a tragedy hits. We have to be strong, and be
prepared, and have a plan. We have to have
hope planted deep, and rooted in our heart,
that God is with us, and will make a way.

You have to find a anchor for your soul!
That no matter what storm comes, the winds
that sweep through, you will not be overcome
because you are anchored in God, and His
Abilities.

We also have to do what we can do to prepare
ourselves for any contingency. This means
we keep supplies, we build a community of
contacts and people we can count on, and
we make plans in case disaster hits.

But if we, isolated and alone, do not have
the help of others, if people cannot work
together, and have the milk of human kindness
and compassion, life will become chaotic.

What we see now, is a lack of compassion among
people. A lack of concern or real love. WE have
heard of stories where people were raped, or badly
beaten and the crowds stood around horrified
and did nothing to help.

What a horrid commentary on our society.

My dear friends, the point of this is, I am concerned
for your soul. That you make your heart right with the Lord.
Don't wait one more day. None of us are guaranteed
tomorrow. There is no more vital and urgent decision
you will make in your life.

Then ... make sure you have a strong, resilient mind and
heart, that no matter what happens you are prepared
and will not panic, but will face life with courage and hope,
and an unquenchable thirst for God, his word, and to reach
others for Him. Your feet firmly planted on that solid
rock, Jesus Christ.

I just keep getting these feelings that if we do not
prepare ourselves and do not tell others of their need
for Christ, and their need to prepare for the future,
we are doing them the greatest disservice of all.

Binding together, working for His cause, seeking His
will, we will be strong, and nothing can defeat us.

If God be for us, who can be against us?

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
The Lord is my strength of my life; of whom shall I be
afraid?
Though a host should encamp against me, my heart
shall not fear; though war should rise against me,
in this I will be confident.
Psalm 27:1,3

Nay in all these things we are more than conquerors
through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded
that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities,
nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall
be able to separate us from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:37-39

Yea, though I walk through the valley of shadow
of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me,
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence
of mine enemies; thou anointest my head with oil,
my cup runneth over.
Psalm 23:4,5

God's provision is greater than our thought life.
Just trust, and do not be afraid.

"The Story of the Little Grape Stem"

Once upon a time there was a little grape stem. This
stem was so glad to be alive ... She drank water and
minerals from the soil and grew and grew She was young
and strong and could manage quite well ... All by Herself

But then, the Wind was cruel, the rain was harsh, the
snow was not one bit understanding, and the little grape
stem suffered She drooped, weak and suffering.

It would be so easy to stop trying to grow, to stop
trying to live. And the grape stem was poor! The winter
was long, and the stem was weary.

But then the little grape stem heard a voice. It was
another grape stem calling out to her ... "Here, reach
out ... hang on to me." But the stem hesitated.
"What would this mean?" she thought For you see, the
little stem had always managed quite well, ... All by
herself.

But then, every so cautiously, she reached out towards
the other grape stem. "See, I can help you" it said.
"Just wind your tendrils about me and I will help you
lift your head." And the little stem trusted ... and
suddenly she could stand straight again.

The wind came ... and the rain ... and the snow, But
when it came, the little grape stem was clinging to
many other stems. And although the stems were swayed
by the wind ... and frozen by the snow, They stood
strongly united to each other. And in their untired
strength ... they could smile and grow.

And then, one day the little stem looked down and saw
a tiny stem, swaying, frightened. And our little grape
stem said, "Here, hang on ... I will help you." And
the other stem reached up to our grape stem... And
together all the stems grew ... Leaves budded ...
flowers bloomed ... And finally, grapes formed
And the grapes fed many.

The Right Way

The Right Way
by Millie Plastaras copyright 11/7/2004

I will lead the Blind by ways they have not known along
unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into
light before them and make the rough places smooth. These
are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.
Isaiah 42:16

I have found so many verses in the word of God that talk
about His guidance and provision for those who seek Him
first. It is a recurring pattern of promises to those who believe
in His power to save, transform, guide, renew, protect and
show mercy to us daily. God is on the throne. The question is
where is He in our mind?

I am reminded of a person who is working hard at a task,
and they cannot quite seem to make it work. They try again,
and again, and getting frustrated by the lack of comprehension
of how to solve the problem becomes uppermost in their mind.

An onlooker comes and offers a suggestion and is instantly
rebuked by the worker who vents their frustration on the nearest
target. "Leave me alone, I have been doing this for years,
I can figure this out." But the worker never turned around
and recognized the person who offered the suggestion
was the owner of the company, who rarely came by, but
had made the original project himself. And knew exactly
how to fix it in every conceivable situation.

We are like this. We think we can control or fix everything.
We stubbornly focus on the task, not taking time to find
a moment of refreshing to relax, or a moment to read
the instructions to help us "fix" it in the recommended way.
Noooooooooooo .. We know better.

How many times have you found yourself doing this?

I think we all have ... and I would be willing to bet, it has
rarely worked out for you. A person with a need to control
will find that life removes the ability to control to teach us
we were never in control.

Read that again:

A person with a need to control will find that life
removes the ability to control to teach us
we were never in control.

God wants us to trust, rely on, lean on, find guidance in,
put Him as the Boss, the Owner, the Ruler. He wants
to be our sufficiency. He wants to be Lord of our lives.

Yet, we here, in our finite wisdom, say God, I can do it
on my own, you just don't understand. And day after day
we find ourselves frustrated with the task at hand
because we are trying to do everything ourselves without
having all the tools needed to fix it correctly.

My friend for one to make God Lord of their life, they
have to

1. Release their burdens to Him and never pick them back up.
2. Recognize His position of Authority in our lives. He is Lord!
3. Recognize we are not in control, and pretending we
are may cost us more than we ever dreamed.
4. Recognize life throws us many unexpected things,
and that God knows about them, has plans for us,
and can work it out.
5. Remember that God wants us to let Him rule and reign
in our hearts every hour of every day.
6. Pray - it is the doorway to God's heart.
7. Read the Word - it is the fuel your spirit needs to function
spiritually.

There is a old saying: Let Go, and Let God (be God)

Sounds simple.. but for most of us ... it seems to be taking
a lifetime of surrendering our will to his.

Why don't we take a shortcut ... and just let go now.. so
we can find more peace, more joy, and more guidance
for the path, rather than wandering around like a lost
soul because we were stubborn and wanted to run everything?

It is only in His sufficiency ... we find ours.

In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps. Proverbs 16:9

In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He shall direct
your paths.
Proverbs 3:6

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your
ears will hear a voice behind you saying
"This is the way, walk in it." Isaiah 30:21

Listen for that still small voice, and be obedient.

remember
Only one life, will soon be past
Only what is done, for Christ will last

Honey or Vinegar?

Good Morning Everyone,

Suppose today, someone filed a lawsuit against
you because you were a Christian. Would they
have enough evidence to prove it? Interesting
concept isn't it?

What does your daily life, habits and words
speak to those around you? Did you know that
our lives are silent sermons to everyone we meet?

My mom and dad taught me that early in life.
That our life should have evidence of God's presence
in it, so that anyone acquainted with us, would know
that God dwells within us. And they would desire
a life with God because of our example.

Our life should speak of peace, it should have a spirit
of joy, a spirit of giving, and hospitality, and compassion.
If you are not feeling many of these things, I can honestly
say, you have probably not spent a lot of time lately praying,
and allowing God to refresh your spirit. How dare I say that?
Because that is what happens to me, when I don't pray
enough. My spirit becomes depleted, run down
and it shows in everything I do and say.

We all need times of refreshing and inspiration. And
whatever we are planting in our brain and spirit is
what will come out of our mouth, and be our actions.
You cannot avoid this! The Bible says out of the
abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

So plant the beauty of God's word in your heart,
and allow Him to teach you a new, vital, victorious
way to live. We do this by talking to Him, learning
to trust him for our needs, and not trying to carry
our own burdens anymore.

I love you all dearly, and long to see you free of the things
that weigh you down daily. We all have burdens, and
many things to bear, the secret is to bear them with
courage and faith.

Much love
millie

ps. Remember your good name is hard to regain
when you lose it. Be a testimony to the saving
and transforming power of Christ in all you do and say.

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence comes
my help. My help comes from the Lord, which made heaven
and earth.

Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you!!!

Honey or Vinegar

Author: Unknown

The preacher placed two identical jars on the table next to the pulpit.

He quoted 1 Samuel 16:7

The Lord does not look at the things man looks at.

Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

"These jars came from the same factory, were made of the same materials, and can hold the same amount. But they are different," he explained.

Then he upset one and it oozed out honey.

He turned over the other, and vinegar spilled out.

"When a jar is upset, whatever is in it comes out.

Until the jars were upset, they looked alike.

The difference was within and could not be seen.

When they were upset, their contents were revealed.

Until we are upset, we put on a good front.

But when we are upset, we reveal our innermost thoughts and attitudes,

"for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks."

Luke 6:45

What if someone tipped you over today?
What would flow out??

Would you reveal the "honey" of grace and patience?
Or the "vinegar" of anger and criticism?

"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins." 1 Peter 4:8

Have a terrific day knowing that the one who upsets you may be just looking to see what is going to flow out of you as well as you find out yourself.

What Is Your Battle Today?

Good Morning Everyone,

What is your battle today?
Is it finances? Relationships?
Your job, or lack thereof?
Your health? Some hurt in your past or present?
What is your battle?

What are you doing to win it?
Are you sitting in a corner and allowing it to reak
havoc on your emotions, drain your spirit,
and make you feel grief stricken and hopeless?

Life is hard anymore, to me it seems it is getting much harder.
If we do not, as Christians learn mental discipline
and learn to give our burdens to God, and refresh
ourselves in His word, how can we hope to stay strong?

How can we hope to have Hope, if we allow the
world's cares to rob us?

My precious friend, no matter what your battle
today, the battle is the Lord's. Leave it there,
and Let him bring you the peace and hope you need.
We cannot bear it on our own shoulders, it is too heavy.
Are you weary? My guess is you are trying
to run your world and it isn't working well, and
you feel defeated and don't know what to do next.

One step at a time, One day at a time, One
heartfelt prayer at a time. God will prevail.

Just trust.

Zechariah 4:6
Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,
saith the LORD of hosts.

When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. And it shall be, when ye are come nigh unto the battle...let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them; for the LORD your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you. Deuteronomy 20:1-4

Our God shall fight for us. Nehemiah 4:20

Love Always
millie

ps.. choose your battles wisely, do not fight them all,
some are not in your means to battle, some are for the Lord,
some God will show you steps to take. But talk to Him first,
and rest in His strength, His hope, His comfort, His wisdom.

The Right Timing

Good Morning Everyone.

Did you know God has a perfect sense of timing?

He has a great advantage over us. He knows all the past
and all the future, and knows what will fit in your life,
at exactly the right moment.

I often picture ourselves running around in frantic little
circles worrying, and a stewing, and trying to fix everything
around us.

God is standing beside us, his arms folded, He is tapping
his foot, waiting for us to calm down, so He can do His work.
We by our very own self driven anxiety are blocking the
very thing we need the most - his guidance and work in
our life.

Sometimes placing our hands out before us, we lift the
burdens to God, and say, you know what, these are just
too big. I realize I was not meant to carry such a load,
and you said you wanted to carry it for me. I release
it into your hands, and trust in your ability to work it out for me.
I am going to walk through this day with a spirit of peace,
and assurance in a heavenly Father who has watched
all that has ever happened on this earth, sees all that
will happen, and has perfect timing and answers for
all things.

Just let go.

Love
millie

God has a broader purpose, a bigger perspective,
the greatest answers, the continual source of
strength and hope. God's plans and timing are
always perfect for us!

Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you!
1 Peter 5:7
*******************************************

Slow Morning

Next time your morning seems to be going wrong, the
children are slow getting dressed, you can't seem to
find the car keys, you hit every traffic light, don't
get mad or frustrated; God is at work watching over
you. Doubtful? Think about this:

After Sept. 11th, one company invited the remaining
members of other companies who had been decimated by
the attack on the Twin Towers to share their available
office space. At a morning meeting, the head of
security told stories of why these people were
alive...... and all the stories were just 'little' things.

As you might know, the head of the company got in late
that day because his son started kindergarten.

Another fellow was alive because it was his turn to bring donuts.

One woman was late because her alarm clock didn't go off in time.

One was late because of being stuck on the New Jersey Turnpike because
of an auto accident.

One missed his bus.

One spilled food on her clothes and had to take time to change.

One's car wouldn't start.

One went back to answer the telephone.

One had a child that dawdled and didn't get ready as soon
as he should have.

One couldn't get a taxi.

The one that struck me was the man who put on a new
pair of shoes that morning, took the various means to
get to work but before he got there, he developed a
blister on his foot. He stopped at a drugstore to buy
a Band-Aid. That is why he is alive today.

Now when I am stuck in traffic, miss an elevator, turn
back to answer a ringing telephone ... all the little
things that annoy me. I think to myself, this is
exactly where God wants me to be at this very moment.

May God continue to bless you with all those annoying
little things and may you remember their possible purpose

Jesus Loves Me!

Hello Everyone,

One thing in common with all of us, is we all need
to feel loved. Everyone needs nurturing of their soul.
They need to know someone cares. That the milk
of human kindness still exists, and that someone
cares if we are alive, and if we have needs, if we
hurt, if we are lonely, or if we need something.

Love is vital to the human spirit. A life without
love is a life that is grief stricken and lonely.

How many of you out there today feel you are loved?
I bet there are many of you longing for someone to care
about you. To hug you, or just put their hands on
your shoulder and tell you they care about you.

By the same token, how many of you have reached
out to anyone new lately and loved them?

It is easy to love our families (most of the time),
it is easy to love our spouses or children, or people
we are familiar with. God told us to love everyone,
even the unlovely.Part of our jobs as Children of
God is to spread his love around to others, through
our behavior, our words, and through good works.

Loving others is a blessing from God, through us
to those in need.

Why do we allow despair in our lives when we have
someone sitting with us all the time who created the
universe? Why do we wring our hands and count
our sorrows, when God said, Cast your burdens
upon Me for I care for you.

Why do we constantly feel alone, when God said He
would never leave us or forsake us?

My guess is for many, God is their LAST resort to
talk to.

My friend, as our grows as a flower and starts to unfold,
and then fades and withers as the grass, the one
constant in this life, is our need for love, and the
certainty that God loves us.

All He asks, is that you repent of your sins, and
receive His son as Lord and Savior of your life, and
dedicate your life to Him, becoming his disciple, seeking
His will, talking to Him daily, growing and becoming
strong in Him and His word.

If you do not talk to Him, it would be the main reason
you feel lonely, hopeless and drained.

You are seeking sustenance from that which does
not fulfil nor sustain, nor bring hope.

Seek that which is above, and find the peace
that passes all understanding.

Then you can gladly proclaim.
You have seen Him, you have Felt Him,
You Know He Cares.
Then you can gladly proclaim.
Jesus loves me, This I know.

And may the Lord make your love to grow and overflow
to each other and to everyone else, just as our love
does towards you. This will result in your hearts being
made strong, sinless and holy By God our Father,
so that you may stand before Him guiltless on that day
when our Lord Jesus Christ returns with all those who
belong to Him.
1 Thessalonians 3:12-13

May the Lord bring you into a ever deeper understanding
of the love of God and of the patience that comes from
Christ.
2 Thessalonians 3:5

Then when that happens we are able to hold our heads
high no matter what happens and to KNOW that all is
well, for we know how dearly God loves us, and we find
this warm love everywhere within us because God
has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with
His love.
Romans 5:5.

While watching a little TV on Sunday instead of going to church, I watched a Church in Atlanta honoring one of its senior pastors who had been retired many years. He was 92 at that time and I wondered why the Church even bothered to ask the old gentleman to preach at that age. After a warm welcome, introduction of this speaker, and as the applause quieted down he rose from his high back chair and walked slowly, with great effort and a sliding gate to the podium. Without a note or written paper of any kind, he placed both hands on the pulpit to steady himself and then quietly and slowly he began to speak... 'When I was asked to come here today and talk to you, your pastor asked me to tell you what was the greatest lesson ever learned in my 50 odd years of preaching. I thought about it for a few days and boiled it down to just one thing that made the most difference in my life and sustained me through all my trials. The one thing that I could
always rely on when tears and heart break and pain and fear and sorrow paralyzed me...the only thing that would comfort was this verse.........

Jesus loves me this I know.
For the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to Him belong,
we are weak but He is strong
Yes, Jesus loves me,
The Bible tells me so.

I EVEN SANG WITH THIS ONE

When he finished, the church was quiet. You actually could hear his foot steps as he shuffled back to his chair. I don't believe I will ever forget it. A pastor once stated, 'I always noticed that it was the adults who chose the children's hymn 'Jesus Loves Me' (for the children of course)
during a hymn sing, and it was the adults who sang the loudest because I could see they knew it the best.' Senior version of Jesus Loves Me Here is a new version just for us who have white hair or no hair at all. For us over middle age (or even those almost there) and all you others, check out this newest version of Jesus Loves Me.

JESUS LOVES ME

Jesus loves me this I know,
Though my hair is white as snow
Though my sight is growing dim,
Still He bids me trust in Him.

(CHORUS)
YES, JESUS LOVES ME
YES, JESUS LOVES ME
YES, JESUS LOVES ME
FOR THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO.

Though my steps are oh, so slow,
With my hand in His I'll go On through life,
let come what may,
He'll be there to lead the way.

(CHORUS)

When the nights are dark and long,
In my heart He puts a song.
Telling me in words so clear,
'Have no fear, for I am near.'

(CHORUS)

When my work on earth is done,
And life's victories have been won.
He will take me home above,
Then I'll understand His love.

(CHORUS)

I love Jesus, does He know?
Have I ever told Him so?
Jesus loves to hear me say,
That I love Him every day.

Thrones, Who Is On Yours?

Good Morning Everyone,

I have been learning some valuable lessons
personally. I thought I might share a couple
of them. As you know I often write on chat rooms.
To me they are a small sampling of what the
real world is like. The difference is, that in
chat rooms, people hide behind a screen name,
and often say things they would never say to
your face. It makes them brave in unspeakable,
thoughtless, unkind ways. And then in the next
breath they say how much they love God, and
how perfect their church is.

Last night I sat and watched the room I was in
discuss works Vs grace. For the 1000th time.
Do works save, or does Jesus save? This
was the question of the hour. Same crowd,
same discussion, different day.

I finally got fed up. I said you know what,
the people who argue the most over works
in here, are in here for hours daily. Many hours,
not just 3 or 4. They argue constantly about their
church, their need to do good works to make
it to heaven, but probably are not even out doing
them. How can you have time to improve your
spiritual life, go out and do "works" if you
spend your entire life in a chat room?

Often the most vehement arguing over
religion is by people who are sorely lacking
in love for their brothers and sisters
in Christ. They have a spirit of religiosity
and condescension and not of love.

Friends, we as Christians have serious issues
in these days and times. We are not taking
God seriously enough in our own personal lives.
We are not facing our own faults and failures
and working on them daily to grow in Christ.
What we tend to do is sit around and look
at each others faults and failures.

I was reading in a commentary last night
about how comfortable Jesus was hanging
around sinners. He had no problem with it.
Because He was telling them how to have
a new life. How to be forgiven. He was
loving to them. He was teaching them, even
though they were living in sin, there was a way
out, and He loved them where they were, and
wanted to help them find forgiveness, healing,
and a new walk in the freedom of His forgiveness.

He knew once they found salvation, they would
grow in Him and change those things that
needed to be changed in their hearts and lives.
He just wanted them to come to Him, the
rest would work out as they grew in Him.

Many Christians would rather sit and point
fingers at sinners (which we all are) rather than
spending time loving them and talking to them
about God. Not preaching "at" them, but
telling them what God has done in your life.
Your testimony can be powerful! God has
redeemed us all from sins, and we have all
had to make changes if we wanted to grow
in Him.

There are no perfect people, we should
stop putting ourselves in that category,
and everyone else outside of it. That is
not what God is calling us to do!

Why do we do that which does not profit
the kingdom of God? Why do we sit daily
and look for the flaws in each other,
rather than praying, God lead me to some
soul today, and love that soul through me,
and may I humbly do my part, to love that
soul to thee.

As I was sitting with someone in the family
recently who is really challenging to me
to have a relationship with. I realized in
a 5 minute period I had torn them apart
mentally. I heard that still small voice say
to me: "Stop judging, stop judging, stop judging."
Three times I heard it said.

Each time I started to think something negative
I would hear it repeated again. It was a wake up
call. We do not realize how much we sit
and make snap judgments about each other
all day long. I have remembered that lesson
everyday. And as thoughts come to me
about someone, I would knock off the judging.
We have got to change our mindset, so
we can truly be a witness, and not a faultfinder.

Don't look at me with innocent eyes. We all do it.
Even about our husbands and wives, our children,
our pastors, people on the news, our neighbors,
people we see on the streets, that we think
don't come up to our standards.

Hey ... are you coming up to God's standards?
Get that fixed first. Don't worry about the
splinter in someone else's eye. Get the log
out of your own. If we spend time working
our own spiritual life, it will be so consuming,
and we will have so much work to do, it
will take a lifetime of humbling ourselves,
feeding ourselves God's word, seeking His
will, and who He would have us to talk to.
That we won't have time for this petty
bickering, and constant judging, and unsanctified
thought life.

My friends, we must be about our Father's business.
If we do not, who will? Don't argue with people
about works, just do them. Don't look for the fault
in your brother's life. Look for your own.
Don't sit and judge someone's spiritual life,
judge your own.

Pray without ceasing, and seek God's face.
And humble yourself, and look for the people
who need ministering to, and love them, and
pray for them, and do unto them, as you
would have them do unto you.

love always
millie

Ps.. Remember God is to be on our throne.
Not ourselves. He must increase, but we must
decrease. Humble yourselves before Him, find
peace, rest and growth in His presence daily.

Friends of mine are lost in sin
And cannot find their way
Few there are who seem to care
And few there are who pray
Melt my heart and fill my life
Give me one soul today

The Courage To Reach Out

Good Morning Everyone,

Last night my husband and I went to a farmers
market street fair in our local area. It had
been really hot all day, and finally the weather cooled
down and there was a nice breeze. So we walked
around the many booths, looking at all the fresh fruits
and veggies. There were many hand made crafts,
and jewelry, it was really nice to get out for a while
and just walk around.

We sat down at a outdoor cafe and had a light dinner
and watched people go by. This was very reminiscent
to my husband and I of times in his country.

We laughed together that when you are younger
you are the one who is out busy and looking at everything,
with lots of places to go and things to see. But when
you get older, you are the lookie loos, watching
people walk by and just relaxing.

There was a very unusual young man that walked
by us. A thick head of curly black hair. He seemed
to be wearing some kind of uniform. He had olive
color skin, and was different looking from the average
person. I sat and watched him for a while and wondered
what kind of work he did, and what kind of person he might
have been. He had a purposeful walk, and for a minute
it seemed to me he was angry.

There was a singer
playing the guitar and singing soft soothing music right
in the middle of the outdoor cafe. The young man with
the curly hair came over and asked if he could speak
inbetween songs. He stood up and said, good evening
everyone! I wanted you to know that Jesus Christ
loves you so much, and came to die for your sins.
He wants to be your Savior.
And that when you need Him he will always be there
for you. He will never leave you or forsake you.
Jesus said draw close to me and I will draw close to you.
He was passionate in his speech, focused, and carried
his worn Bible in his hands.

The crowd was astonished at the young mans speech.
I saw some people smirk, and some were very happy.
But the young man was intense, and full of fervor
for his love for God. He didn't hesitate because of
people's opinions. He stood out in a crowd. A young
man full of hope in Christ in a crowd that wanted
nothing to do with him for the most part. It was striking
to me to see one so young take such a bold stand.
He was ordinary looking in a way, yet powerful in
appearance. I pray God uses this young man powerfully
to reach many for Christ. His courage and passion
is a powerful lesson for us all.

How easy it is to judge on appearance, and write
people off. But God will use any of us. We need
to have the courage of this bold young man and
reach out to others daily and tell them Jesus loves
them and died for them.

Take time to notice people and reach out.
That person may need to hear what you have
to say, and they may need a helping hand
or a word of encouragement, or the kindness
of a stranger. Let God show you who to speak to,
and don't hesitate. There may be a serious reason for it.

I hope you enjoy the story below, it touched and blessed
me and it reminded me of some things my husband and I
are facing.

much love to you all,
millie

"Please Understand"

It was only a family restaurant specializing in vegetable,
not anything fancy anyone would care to write home to mother
about. The diners were seated before being presented with
silverware wrapped in paper napkins alone with a single page
menu before being asked, "What can I bring you to drink?"

Alone at one table I saw a waitress at one table with a gray,
plastic tray busily wrapping more silverware when she turned,
and with a smile, I saw her speak to an elderly gentleman
alone at a table. Curiosity got the best of me as to why she
would devote any time to this man. From his dress and age, it
was obvious he was not any one of social stature, so he must
have been a friend or regular customer she knew.

As I waited for my food, I could not keep my eyes off this man.
Gingerly, and with hands trembling so hard, he could hardly get
food into his mouth, but with hands he could not direct, he
wiped his mouth after each bite. To the obvious, he may have
seen to be out of place in such a crowd, but the obvious is
not always the true story. I wondered about his life's
experiences. I wondered about his family, and why he was dining
alone. What was his life's work? Was his wife dead? Whose
father was he?

To most, he would only be a hindrance. To a physician, he
would only be a Medicare number. To a salesperson, he may
only be a confused shopper. To the traveler, he would be a
driver going too slow. We lose our place in line when we
age, and the world rushes by. When our spouse dies and our
children get grown and gone, there is, seemingly, no place
appointed for us.

I am already at the door of this man's place in life, but when
I step into the room, I hope there will be a smiling face
willing to recognize me. Please look at me and not see only
a Medicare number, but a face and a person. When I am driving
and the glaring lights seem more intense because of cataracts,
please just go around without blowing a horn. If I hold up the
line because a happy thought from long ago occurred to me from
happier times, please just speak, smile and understand. I will
try not to bother.

Failure To Yield

Copyright Millie Plastaras 8/13/07

In America we have a lot of checks and balances on our
roadways. There are signs, signals, charted courses for
us to follow to get from point A to point B. This can
often be complicated, and we may need to study a map to
get there. Even with the greatest preparation we can find
that we are lost, and are not sure where we turned the wrong
way, and how to get back where we were, before the wrong
turn.

There are many well meaning people we might ask
directions from, and some will make it simple, concise
and accurate. Other well meaning folks, might simply
lead us down a wrong path.

But sometimes our worst enemy is our own convoluted
thinking. We get in a hurry and are not watching what
we are doing, and soon we hear this siren going off behind
us and we know, that we have probably broken the law.

Many people get really angry at policemen for having the
audacity to give them a ticket. Many get smart with the
policeman, which is really very counterproductive. I am
sure you cannot change the mind of a person who is doing their
job to maintain the law by getting angry with them and telling
them off. People are often most angry at themselves but
would rather blame it on the policeman than face their own
failure to yield to the law.

This is a lot like our lives. We plot and plan and scheme to
make life work the way we want it to, and then one day
find out it is not working out at all like we want. We want
absolute control over our lives and destiny only to find we
do not. So what does one do, to find their way?
Map the course?
Set lofty goals and Plans?
Talk to the best advisers? Get a great
education and do all you can to better yourself? These are all
worthy and wise goals.

But there comes a time when failure to
yield to the will of the Living and all Powerful God, makes us
take wrong turns, get involved with wrong people, make wrong
moves that lead us down a tortured path, that it is hard to find
our way out of.

I believe that we as Christians should start each morning,
praying and asking God for His will in our lives.
To guide us, and teach
us, and draw us close to Him, that we might be all we can be
through Him. Ask Him to show us the way to go, and then
do as He asks, neither looking to the left or the right,
but yielding to His way.

We also fill our heart with His Holy Word to
inspire us, bring us hope, teach us wisdom, and guide us into
all truth. These are very needful for each of us, and surely must
never be neglected if we want peace of mind, peace of heart,
the peace that passes all understanding to fill our hearts
even in the most troubling of times. God's word is fuel for
our spirit. Our spirit cannot run well when drained of
fuel, the hope that springs eternal.

Then we do what we can do for ourselves, and go
out and face the day with courage and resolve, and prayer in our
hearts. We remember we are never alone, and that we have
a advocate in our heavenly Father, who will not leave us, forsake
us, or leave us guessing. We can fully trust and cling to all He
has said, and find strength and courage to face whatever battle
or experience is ahead.

No matter how frightening, how worrisome,
how utterly, profoundly fearful life can become, we are guarded
by the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. We are to Just Trust
and Obey.

Just remember, getting mad at the policeman for
reminding you of the law, or yelling at God because
He isn't doing life the way you expected will not change
anything. You need to yield to what is right, and turn
from what is wrong. It is the way Home.

Trust and Obey
Text: John H. Sammis, 1846-1919
Music: Daniel B. Towner, 1850-1919

. When we walk with the Lord
in the light of his word,
what a glory he sheds on our way!
While we do his good will,
he abides with us still,
and with all who will trust and obey.
Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there's no other way
to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2. Not a burden we bear,
not a sorrow we share,
but our toil he doth richly repay;
not a grief or a loss,
not a frown or a cross,
but is blest if we trust and obey.
(Refrain)

3. But we never can prove
the delights of his love
until all on the altar we lay;
for the favor he shows,
for the joy he bestows,
are for them who will trust and obey.
(Refrain)

4. Then in fellowship sweet
we will sit at his feet,
or we'll walk by his side in the way;
what he says we will do,
where he sends we will go;
never fear, only trust and obey.
(Refrain)

I'd Rather Have Jesus

Hello Dear Friends,

Each of us spend time investing our lives in something
special. We choose what we enjoy, or people we enjoy
and we invest our time in it. Our time is the greatest
gift we can give anyone.

As our life goes on, we find what works well for us,
and what does not. We make choices that backfire on us,
and we learn not to go that way again. Or we get
in unhealthy, destructive relationships, and learn
more about choosing wise companions.

The Bible even tells us to guard our hearts. But often
we do just the opposite, and it has caused many people
a lifetime of trials and grief and heartaches.

But I remember my pastor giving a sermon, talking
about how when we put Jesus first in our life,
and seek Him first thing every morning, and His
will, our lives will have far less regrets.

Have you ever heard a lecture on how to have less regrets?
Don't you wish you had? Or had heard one earlier in life.

Why do we do that which we do not want to do,
and not do that which we know we should? It is
our human nature, the fleshly side of us that rebels
against God and reaps the whirlwind.

Then, those of us who remember daily we are bought
with a price, the precious blood of Jesus Christ,
recognize we are no longer our own. We belong to Jesus,
and our life is now to live up to a higher calling. We
recognize walking with Him daily is our priority. That
following His teachings leads us into obedience and
a righteous life. And we recognize Gods word inspires
our spirit, refreshes our hope, brings us comfort,
and teaches us great wisdom about life.

These things are priceless my friend.

I have to tell you after many regretable mistakes in
my life that cost me dearly, I have learned at long last.

I'd rather have Jesus than anything this world affords
today.

Let nothing come between your soul and the Savior.
Time is short. Make sure you are right before Him.
Nothing is more vital, and more important.

Don't live a life of regret. Live one driven by
the Love of God and the peace that passes all
understanding.

Love

I"d Rather Have Jesus
Lyrics By Rhea F. Miller

I’d rather have Jesus than silver or gold;
I’d rather be His than have riches untold;
I’d rather have Jesus than houses or lands;
I’d rather be led by His nail-pierced hand

Refrain:
Than to be the king of a vast domain,
Or be held in sin’s dread sway;
I’d rather have Jesus than anything
This world affords today.

I’d rather have Jesus than men’s applause;
I’d rather be faithful to His dear cause;
I’d rather have Jesus than worldwide fame;
I’d rather be true to His holy name

He’s fairer than lilies of rarest bloom;
He’s sweeter than honey from out the comb;
He’s all that my hungering spirit needs;
I’d rather have Jesus and let Him lead

The Battle Is The Lord's - Trust, Do Not Be Afraid

Good Morning Everyone,

Ever have a day where you didn't want to
get out of bed? Where the world seemed
like a dreary, troubling place, and you didn't
want to get up and face it. Did you ever feel
like you had more problems than answers?

I believe it is serious if one loses their hope
that their situation can change, and nothing
will get better.

In my own life, I have some serious health
issues now. If I let them get me down, whatever
time I have left would be full of self defeat,
depression, and truly grim looking.

But I do not want to live like that. So even
if some of my circumstances do not change,
my hope level continues to find strength in
the Lord daily.

As I sat here praying this morning about what
to write to you, I recognize that I have many in
the military around the world on my list. And
many people, in many countries, different
walks of life. We have one common thread
in our lives, the need for hope, encouragement
and love. The Internet is a place that can be
used for good or evil. Encouragement is a great
way to spend your time on the Internet.

So this morning, I want to encourage your heart,
and tell you God does care about the details of your
life.
He wants you to spend time talking to Him
about your needs. He also wants you to spend
time worshipping Him, and loving Him. He wants
you to read His Word and plant those verses
in your spirit, so when the hard times come
you can speak them out loud and send them
forth in the name of God, and they will not come
back void, but they will accomplish His precious
will, encourage your heart, strengthen your spirit,
guide your walk, and plant your feet firmly so
you cannot be shaken. Trust, and do not be
afraid, for the Lord thy God shall never leave
thee, nor forsake thee.

My precious friend, do not allow the world
or your circumstances to rob you of your
joy and hope. Once hope and joy is stolen,
what is left? You control your thinking,
and your circumstances should never control
you. God is on the throne, not your circumstances,
never forget that. You might have to go through
some things, but you will never go through them
alone, and you will pass through to the other
side of those problems. They will not be forever.

Here are some verses I found that I pray you
will find strength from, and will refer to often.

Verses to encourage:

When I pray, you answer me, and encourage me
by giving me the strength I need.
Psalm 138:3

Though I am surrounded by troubles, you will
bring me safely through them. You will clench
your fist against my angry enemies. Your power
will save me.
The Lord will work out His plans for my life, for your
lovingkindness, Lord, continues forever.
Don't abandon me.
Psalm 138:7-8

When you go through deep waters and great
trouble, I will be with you. When you go
through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown!
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
you will not be burned up! The flames will not
consume you.
Isaiah 43:2

I, even I, am He who comforts you and gives
you all this joy. So what right have you to fear
mere mortal men, who wither like the grass
and disappear? Isaiah 51:12

For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord.
They are plans for good and not for evil,
to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11
(Count on this ... say it daily)

But the lovingkindness of the Lord is from
everlasting to everlasting, to those who
reverence Him, His salvation is to Children's
children.
Psalm 103:17

Be strong! Be courageous! Do not be
afraid of them! For the Lord Your God
will be with you. He will neither fail you
nor forsake you.
Deuteronomy 31:6

Yes, be bold and strong! Banish fear and doubt!
For remember, the Lord your God is with you
wherever you go.
Joshua 1:9

Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit
says the Lord of Hosts, you will succeed
because of MY Spirit, though you are few and
weak.
Zechariah 4:6

Trust in the Lord instead. Be kind and good to
others; then you will live safely here in the land
and prosper feeding in safety.
Be delighted with the Lord, then he will give
you all your heart's desires.
Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust
Him to help you do it and He will.
Psalm 37:3-5

God is my strong fortress, He has made me safe!
2 Samuel 22:33

He is my strength and my son in the heat of
battle, and now He has given me the victory.
Psalm 118:14

He fills me with strength and protects me
wherever I go.
Psalm 18:32

For you have armed me with strong armor for
the battle. My enemies quail before me and
fall defeated at my feet.
Psalm 18:39

He gives power to the tired and worn out,
and strength to the weak.
Isaiah 40:29

To those of you in the military or those of
you in military families, send these to those
brave soldiers who need prayer and to know
someone cares. Pray over them daily,
and encourage them to speak these verses
out loud and share them with their friends.

God is still on the throne, we need not fear,
or be afraid, or feel defeated. God will prevail,
and will bless those that put their trust in Him.

love always

What Church Is The Right Church?

What Church is the Right Church?
copyright Millie Plastaras 7/5/2005

In these days and times, there are a myriad of churches to
attend. Each just a bit different from the one before.
There are many kinds of differences, the size of the church,
the congregation, the make up of the congregation,
the amount of services, but most of all the doctrine.

You can go in one church, and they say it is really important
to get into each verse, and understand what it has for you.
You can go to another church where they teach you, you
must learn the Bible precept upon precept. There are other
churches that say you need to learn the Bible line upon line,
precept upon precept. Then there are the churches who
teach no one but the pastors can interpret the scripture
correctly.

Some churches believe they have the corner on the truth,
and so do their members. No other church could possibly
be important to attend since they have the corner on the
market ... right?

Who is right and who is wrong.

People get very legalistic, defensive and unkind about
whether their church is right or wrong. I wonder how this
draws people to that church?

The Bible does not recognize any one visible Church on
earth as "the Church." The Church is the body of believers
which consists of all regenerated (born again) souls, each one
redeemed by the blood of the Lamb and transformed by
the renewing power of the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 5:25
said Christ loved the church and gave himself for it.

The Christian Church comes from the Greek
Word Ecclesia meaning
"to call out from". Christians are
called out from the world system to be "in" Christ.

To the church of God which is at Corinth, in those who
are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints,
with all who in every place call upon the name of Jesus
Christ Our Lord, both theirs and ours
1 Corinthians 1:2

The visible church we see every Sunday is the place
where people's names are on church rolls, all earthly
denominations, and sects, good, bad and indifferent
are part of this visible church.

The invisible church is made up of those whose names
are written in the Lamb's book of life.
Revelation 21:27

There are some very basic things a church should believe.
It should start at the cross of Christ. All else is secondary.
The good news (gospel of Jesus Christ) is our great commission
to share with all the world. We miss the mark if we start
promoting a church before we promote the gospel of Christ.
John 3:16

A church should teach repentance
Acts 2:38 , Luke 13:3, all talk about the need to repent
to be saved. Without repentance there is no remission of sins.
And with sin in our heart it separates us from God. The only
thing that reconciles us with God, to change our sinful nature
is the blood of the lamb - Jesus Christ who died in our stead
on the cross, that we might find forgiveness of our sins.

A church must teach salvation. Jesus said to Nicodemus,
you must be born again. Being Born again means
we recognize we are sinners in need of salvation. That Jesus
recognized this, and came to earth expressly to die for our
sins. His blood cleanses our sin when we receive this gift
of salvation. He was the propitiation for our sins.

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption
that is in Christ Jesus.
Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation
(an atoning sacrifice) through faith in His blood, to
declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past
through the forbearance of God.
Romans 3:23-24

A church should encourage you to study God's word, and live
by it's holy concepts. To be a disciple of Christ, submitted
to His will.

To me, this is the starting point. If a church does not teach
this, they are missing the whole point. It is about Jesus
Christ, and Him crucified and risen the third day.

It is about our need for a Savior.

It is not about who has the greatest church, the biggest
congregation, the most fancy building, which preacher
has the greatest education or the greatest following, it
should be about Jesus Christ, and the cross.

If your church is pushing an agenda that departs from this,
if your pastor is promoting himself more than Christ,
if your church is talking more about prosperity than
about your walk in Christ,
if your church doesn't teach right out of the Bible,
if your church is more caught up in religious ceremony
than the salvation of souls, you need to find a new church
home.

There are many things to mislead us in this last day.
Even God's very elect will be drawn away. The Bible predicts
this. How will it happen? People will get their eyes off
the cross, and onto their own thoughts, their own agenda.
Every church fighting over doctrine, rather than preaching
the gospel.

One of the greatest dangers within the world today
in the Christian community and among churches
and their followers is people are not reading the
Bible for themselves.
Many have never read it through.
They then, do not know what it teaches or not,
and can be easily mislead from it's central truth.

This is very serious. It can affect your soul, your
salvation, your walk with Christ, your words and
beliefs, if misguided can affect the souls you have
influence on. Nothing is more important than
sitting down, reading the Bible for yourself,
and seeing what it does teach, and allowing God
to speak to your heart, and lead you to His truth,
His will, and to teach you how to be a disciple
of Jesus Christ.

If every church out there today, would start talking
about salvation and the need for it, and how Jesus loves
them so much, just as they are, and longs to change them,
and save their souls, and comfort them and guide them,
the world would feel such hope.

The church is chasing people away by it's over religious
nature, its ceremonies, its rituals, it is irrelevant to this generation.
This generation wants straight talking people, who are
genuine, who say what they mean, mean what they say,
and that Christ shows in the people's lives. Not just lip
service, but a life style. This generation needs hope,
they need to feel loved, and accepted. They need to know
Jesus loves them and offers a way out, a transforming life
in Christ.

My friend ... take this serious. Your church is no better than mine,
your doctrine no wiser or stronger. Our God loves us both,
and we should be a body of Christ brought together in love,
preaching the gospel to the world. Not tearing each other
apart.

Are you going to be drawn away by the elements that
come to deceive your soul? The ones that keep you out
of the church, out of the word of God, away from repentance
before Jesus Christ?

Nothing else matters more. No decision is greater than
the one you make to be born again by the blood of the lamb.

Our hearts cry should be:

I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me;, and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20

And, Christ's word is alive in me, for it is read by me, and planted
in my heart, allowing God to speak to me, that I may grow in Him,
be pleasing to Him, and know what the truth is according to the gospel
of Jesus Christ. That I may not be decieved by ungodly teaching,
but rooted in Christ, through His Holy Word, through Salvation through
his precious blood, and through following Him daily, seeking His will
above all else.

Don't neglect the most needful thing in your life. Your spiritual walk
with God. Don't take anyone else's word fully about God's word, read it
see if what they teach lines up with it. This is vital! The Bible says
in the last days many will be deceived, and even God's very elect will
be drawn away. I can fully assure you this is because they get drawn
away from the Bible and start believing the teachings of false men
who are charismatic in their teaching, and ungodly in their principles
and teachings. Don't be deceived! Be one of those who is steady and
strong in Christ, focused on Him. Let nothing come between your soul and
Christ.

Only one life, will soon be past
Only what is done for Christ will last
