He Is Our Sufficiency!

Good Morning Dear Friends,

I have been a bit under the weather this week,
but I am back now.. and I pray this article makes
up for the days I missed in corresponding with you.

I recently wrote a letter about how God delivered
my husband from death. I received quite a volume
of mail on it. 3 of you who have lost your husbands
in the last year or two were rather upset
and felt I might be implying that your faith wasn't
strong enough to save your husband.

I have attended churches that talked like that, that
if you were not praying hard enough, that is
why someone stayed sick, and they made people feel
very badly, I do not buy into it. I believe that God has each of
our days planned. When it is our time to go, God will
take us home. I also believe that there are times God
leads us to interceed fervently for the life of someone.
God will show us in our heart, if we spend quiet time
with Him, what we must do. Problem is, most of us
are too caught up in the anxiety and pain of the
moment to hear that still small voice.

I think times like this, we need support of people
who know how to pray and can lift up the needs
involved in our situation. I believe God called
me at that time to pray for my husband because
he had some unfinished business here on earth.
Since he has come back, he has changed from
a very angry man to a very happy one. He made
amends for some things that were left unsettled,
and has surely made my life a happier one. But most
of all, I believe he had a chance to talk things out with God.

So, in conclusion, I would never tell you failed in your
prayers. My job is to tell you the scripture, to encourage
you to read it.. to inspire you to pray more, to memorize
more scriptures and draw closer to God. I believe
God put me online to push you a little, to encourage
you to get into the word and grow in the Lord, and I
do not hesitate to do it. We all need that, and it is
vital. Many of you do not attend church, I hope
these daily inspirations will fill some need in your
life and get you right where the Lord wants you to
be and the place He wants to fill with your life.

I often tell personal stories because it shows
you how I can relate to where you are, or how I
overcame a situation. I am not anyone special,
I have many flaws and failings, I still worry too much,
and still have illnesses of my own that prayer has
not fully overcome. But I know I am a child
of the King of Kings and nothing is impossible to Him.

You see, it is all about Him, His strength,
His capabilities, His miracle working power.
It isn't about us, or how hard we can pray necessarily,
its about how much we believe in Him and His power!

His face I seek, His will I seek, and his hope I allow
to permeate my spirit and thinking daily.

Remember we are not doing this in our own strength,
but in His.

The first poem below, will show you, that your
attitude makes all the difference in the way you
face things.

The second article shows you the sufficiency of God.
He is the one that can do it all. The rest of us
need to dwell in praise, in prayer and in purposeful
living for Him.

my love to each of you

I have strength for all things in Christ who Empowers me,
I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him
who infuses inner strength into me, that is, I am self
sufficient in Christ's sufficiency.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Phillipians 4:13, Amplified and King James Version

"The Man Who Thinks He Can"

If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don't;
If you'd like to win, but think you can't;
It's almost a cinch you won't.
If you think you'll lose, you're lost,
For out in the world we find
Success begins with a fellow's will;
It's all in the state of mind.

If you think you're outclassed, you are;
You've got to think high to rise.
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man;
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can.
--Walter D. Wintle

HE IS

He is the First and Last, the Beginning and the End!
He is the keeper of Creation and the Creator of all!

He is the Architect of the universe and
The Manager of all times.
He always was, He always is, and
He always will be... Unmoved, Unchanged,
Undefeated, and never Undone!

He was bruised and brought healing!
He was pierced and eased pain!
He was persecuted and brought freedom!
He was dead and brought life!
He is risen and brings power!
He reigns and brings Peace!

The world can't understand him,
The armies can't defeat Him,
The schools can't explain Him, and
The leaders can't ignore Him.
Herod couldn't kill Him,
The Pharisees couldn't confuse Him, and
The people couldn't hold Him!
Nero couldn't crush Him,
Hitler couldn't silence Him,
The New Age can't replace Him, and
Donahue can't explain Him away!

He is light, love, longevity, and Lord.
He is goodness, Kindness, Gentleness, and God.
He is Holy, Righteous, mighty, powerful, and pure.
His ways are right, His word is eternal,
His will is unchanging, and His mind is on me.
He is my Redeemer, He is my Savior,
He is my guide, and He is my peace!
He is my Joy, He is my comfort,
He is my Lord, and He rules my life!

I serve Him because His bond is love,
His burden is light, and
His goal for me is abundant life.
I follow Him because He is the wisdom of the wise,
The power of the powerful,
The ancient of days, the ruler of rulers,
The leader of leaders, the overseer of the overcomers, and
The sovereign Lord of all that was and is and is to come.

And if that seems impressive to you, try this for size.
His goal is a relationship with ME!
He will never leave me,
Never forsake me,
Never mislead me,
Never forget me,
Never overlook me, and
Never cancel my appointment in His appointment book!
When I fall, He lifts me up!
When I fail, He forgives!
When I am weak, He is strong!
When I am lost, He is the way!
When I am afraid, He is my courage!
When I stumble, He steadies me!
When I am hurt, He heals me!
When I am broken, He mends me!
When I am blind, He leads me!
When I am hungry, He feeds me!
When I face trials, He is with me!
When I face persecution, He shields me!
When I face problems, He comforts me!
When I face loss, He provides for me!
When I face Death, He carries me Home!

He is everything for everybody, everywhere,
Every time, and every way.
He is God, He is faithful.
I am His, and He is mine!
My Father in heaven can whip the father of this world.

So, if you're wondering why I feel so secure, understand this...
He said it and that settles it.
God is in control, I am on His side, and
That means all is well with my soul.
Everyday is a blessing for GOD Is!
