Wisdom for Life

Good Morning Everyone,

As I was sitting here reflecting today about the
season, I thought of my mom and dad and grandparents
and what wonderful holiday seasons we spent together.
Warm home, good food, the joy of being with each
other and above all, the knowledge that Jesus was
in our home, Lord of our lives, and was watching over us.

When I look back on life, and the people I knew, the
ones who stood out, were the ones who took time
for others, and loved them. The ones who made a
difference in the lives of the people around them.

People who were kind
or giving
or thoughtful
or forgiving
or joyful
or cheerful.

These are wonderful traits. We all should strive
to be more positive, and thoughtful, and especially forgiving.

What a great time of year to let go of resentments,
whether or not the situation has been resolved.
What a great time to make a clean break from our
worries and learn to rely on the Lord and just
enjoy each day as it comes, rather than dwelling
in the past or worrying about tomorrow.

Maybe it is time to set new priorities in your life.
What better time to do it than the season we
remember the birth of the Christ Child,
who came to give freedom to this world spiritually,
freedom from sin, peace that passes all understanding,
hope for today and tomorrow, and strength for each day.

How blessed we are. Should we not then reflect this?
Take a look at yourself today. Do others see that
you are blessed? Are you spreading it around?
Are you a example of Christ dwelling richly in you?

We all have things to correct. Its a great time to start.

Let all men know and perceive and recognize your
unselfishness -- your considerateness,
your forbearing (forgiving and patient) spirit,
the Lord is near, He is coming soon.
And God's peace shall be yours, that tranquil state
of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so
fearing nothing from God and content with its earthly
lot of whatever sort that is, that peace which transcends
all understanding, shall garrison and mount guard
over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7
